Backtagging: Always.
Threadhopping: In open network threads, go for it! For logs/action, please ask first.
Fourthwalling: No thank you.
Offensive subjects: Body horror can sometimes squick me pretty bad, so I'd rather know what I'm getting into if it's going to come up in a scene. Other than that, I don't have any hard limits when it comes to subject matter (and even that's like... a medium limit).

Hugging this character: With positive CR, yes! It'll surprise him, but it won't be unwelcome.
Kissing this character: On the cheek/forehead, yes.
Flirting with this character: You can try, but he's not likely to respond in kind.
Fighting with this character: Yes, but let's talk about it OOC before getting into it.
Injuring this character: Yes, but let's talk about it OOC before getting into it.
Killing this character: Only with plotting beforehand.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes, although depending on the nature of your character's ability, Cole may be able to tell they're doing it.
Warnings: Cole's backstory contains themes of child abuse and torture. It will usually only be referred to in an oblique manner.

ABILITY-BASED PERMISSIONS
As a spirit of compassion, Cole has the ability to "see/hear" other peoples' pain. This can range across anything from hurtful or bittersweet memories, to current fears or anxieties, to knowing what a person needs to make them feel better. In canon, he often comments on the things he sees in peoples' heads. It usually comes from a place of curiosity or wanting to help.
Some characters may be more difficult to read due to mental abilities of their own, and if there are any specific memories players would rather not be poked at, I can find a way to play around them. I do want to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes OOC. Please c/p from the text box and comment!
Cole also has abilities that allow him to be invisible and affect people's memories, but since Shardbearers have an easier time seeing and remembering him, this will be handled on a case-by-case basis. More details about Cole's powers in general can be found over here.

Can Cole read your character's feelings? Yes! He has a lot of feelings about wanting to right the past, of redemption, stuff like that.
Can he read your character's memories? Yes, slightly- Arno guards a lot of personal memories close to him, but the memories of his father being murdered when he was eight is something Cole could easily discover!
Can he comment out loud on what he finds? BY ALL MEANS PLEASE DO Arno is going to be so weirded out c:
Does your character have any immunity or defense against being read? Yeeeees and no? AC canon is odd, because in order for Arno to have Eagle Vision it means he's a descendant of Those Who Came Before, a superior race that had six senses instead of five. I don't think Arno could do anything, he'd just be something different for Cole to encounter, maybe a little difficult.
