He's a zombie, though, and his brain is kept working by a drug, so some of his memories are fragmented, or there's things he doesn't remember from when he was alive or from when he rose from the grave initially (these memories might just be repressed because he killed people) before he got the drug. More recent events he remembers fine, though. Can he comment out loud on what he finds? If he wants to, sure. Does your character have any immunity or defense against being read? Nope.
